Delegates from the 10 (ten) Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Member States and Japan convene for the opening ceremony of the 2nd ASEAN-Japan Television Festival at the Seda Vetris North Hotel in Quezon City on September 7, 2017.With the theme, "Strengthening ASEAN and Japan Cooperation in Television," the festival aims to promote local programs, introduce new technologies, share experiences, and connect ideas for future collaboration between ASEAN and Japan TV networks. It is made possible by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) of the Philippines, People's Television Network, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan, and Broadcast Program Export Association of Japan (BEAJ). After the opening ceremony, a series of simultaneous workshop sessions will take place to discuss the following: Market Overview in each ASEAN Member States; Latest Broadcasting Technologies and Shooting Equipment Focusing on 4K/8K; General Broadcasting Technologies and Its Applications; New Trends in Program Development and Co-Productions/ TV Program Exchange; New Media Platforms; and Cross-Border Piracy Challenges on Intellectual Property. #ASEAN2017#ASEANJapanTVFest
